bgreen is the nicest
When I got to the green festival, one of the first booths I honed in on was for bgreen organic apparel.

Their mission is “to create the nicest organic clothing in the marketplace,” and “nice” is a pretty apt word to describe the brand. bgreen is family-owned and focused on making the basics – mostly casual intimates and athletic wear – out of certified organic cotton and using low-impact dyes. It’s all stuff I could wear to my boyfriend’s parents’ house without feeling like a heathen and still liking my wardrobe, you know? Everything about them, from their down-to-earth styling to their fair-trade ethics, just seems…nice.
Plus, they make really comfy panties.

I’m notoriously picky about panties, so I only bought one pair (the classic bikini, in case you’re curious) to see how they fit. Ladies and gentlemen, these panties are a dream. They’re made out of the softest organic cotton, have great coverage, and stay in place so well that I forget I’m wearing them. I fully intend on picking up a couple more pairs (they come in black, white, pink, and polka dot) as well as their thong…and maybe even a bra or two.
Another “nice” thing about the bgreen booth was my chance to meet Josh, a tap dancer and fellow green-freak. Josh was wearing what I have determined is one of the most wicked cool shirts I’ve seen in a while:

“I <3 chicks that hug trees (and shave their armpits)”
Josh was checking out the men’s boxer briefs, which also looked really comfortable but seemed to run a little larger than most men’s intimates. (I agree, though as an FYI, the women’s stuff seemed to run true to size.) While we bonded over the panty table, he told me he’s trying out for Cirque du Soleil. So send him good vibes, everyone!

Nevermind. After seeing this picture, I figure Josh has his audition in the bag.
Back to the topic at hand: I’m pretty sure Josh and his friend (whose name I didn’t write down and now I feel totally guilty about it – she was also very nice) both picked up some bgreen stuff, I bought those panties, AND my photographer bought something, too. They made that big of an impression.
I mean, they made that nice of an impression, of course.

I went to the Green Festival on Saturday and I am sorry I didn’t see this booth. I have to say I was a little overwhelmed by it all. That shirt that Josh is wearing is hilarious…
Also polka dot undies.. yes!

I hope we get to do something like this when I come to Seattle! That clothing line seems really great.

Admirable attempt at making your smile as large as his! Haha. I’m not sure if anyone’s ever could be. Those smiles alone are testimony for the greatness of that company — they should place it on their site.
New blog (posted at an ungodly hour last night): “bgreen” panties and girls that hug trees (and boys): http://tinyurl.com/ctdfo4
I went to the company’s website, and I was really disappointed that it didn’t seem like you could buy their items online! I loved the undies, and I wanted to snag a few pairs for myself, along with some of their other things. I don’t know where I’ll be able to get them around here, though
After a bit of searching, I found this little blurb on their website: “If you are a retail customer, please email us at info@natureusa.net and we will
send a list of stores in your area.”
If there aren’t any stores in your area, you should be able to order by telephone. (I know, we’re so used to email and online purchases, but like I said, these people are really nice!)
If you do email them, I’d love it if you could let them know how you found them.
My name is Mike Farid and I am the founder of bgreen apparel. Nicole was king enough to send me a link to her blog and after reading the comments I thought I should provide some additional information.
First of all, the big announcement (at least BIG for us ): The long wait is over. On April 10, 2009 we will be launching our newly designed Retail and Wholesale websites. These projects have been in works for more than a year now and we are very excited that it is finally there. We have been primarily a wholesaler ever since we started bgreen 6 years ago and shows like Green Festival is one of the few occasions we get to interact directly with the customers. There will be over 120 high quality organic cotton styles for men and women to choose from; intimatewear, yoga/activewear and graphic Tees.
Our products are proudly manufactured (Fabric, Cut & Sew, Printing, Packing) in our facility in Southern California.
We put decades of our product development and manufacturing experience behind the bgreen brand and by far my biggest reward doing this job is when people enjoy our products and take time to tell others about them.
As a thank you to all of you we have created a discount code “awakened” which will be 20% off of our regular prices from 04-10-09 to 05-10-09. You are welcome to share this with friend and family.
For additional questions or information please contact me at mike@natureusa.net
In gratitude,
Mike Farid
I am soooo excited to use the discount once the site is launched! I really want to check out their athletic tops.
