No Place Like Home
Recently I mentioned how sweet my boyfriend is. I’d like to amend that and add another notch to the sweet-o-meter: On Monday, I came home to a package, which he explained was a “for no reason present.” What did he get me? The best combination of geekery and home design possible, of course:
It’s a computer keyboard’s “Home” key - get it?
I know this probably seems mundane to some of you, but for a girl from rainy Seattle, who happens to own a big dog – with big, muddy paws - a doormat is a pretty exciting present. (However, I must note that Boyfriend chose to give it to me on a random Monday instead of my birthday, which I think was smart. A doormat is a cool gift, but for my birthday? I think not.) I immediately reached for the tag in a tear-it-apart frenzy…and had to pause for a moment. What’s this? This doormat is made from recycled tires? Oh honey, you do really love me!
You can get your own Home Key Doormat from its manufacturer, Kikkerland.com, for $30, or at UncommonGoods.com, where it sells for $25.

this totally gave me a chuckle! love it!i’ve never seen a home key one and yeah for eco-friendly!
