In Action: Alchemy Goods

While people-watching on the bus this morning (I’m such a voyer) I noticed that the man across from me was carrying a bag by the previously-blogged-about sustainable company Alchemy Goods.  I had to report back with a surprising conclusion: after a bit of wear, these bags look even better.

Mr. Bus Man was carrying this haversack, colorscheme included:

With those shiny strips softened by wear, contrasted by the bright green piping, this AgBag looks way more stylish.  What I first thought of as a bad-ass casual bag suddenly transformed into a statement bag: something I could see myself carrying as a primary crossbody, not just an on-the-go hauler.  It also seemed less “rubbery”-looking, like it would continue to wear well without falling apart or fading in odd places.

In short, my impression of Alchemy Goods has just been raised another notch.  Because let’s face it: how often do we find a bag that looks cool, uses recycled materials, wears well, will never fall apart and makes a statement?

That’s worth $98 to me (and most bags aren’t).
