What About Wednesday?: Link Love

Once a week I ask the same bleary-eyed question: “What about Wednesday?”It’s my day to post whatever the hell I feel like, with no regard to fashion, eco-consciousness or, occasionally, even coherent thoughts.

Planetary Apothecary gave me the heads up that social waters would be murky today, and that “stirring the pot” might bring unneeded turmoil.  I thought I’d pass the message along before ducking into my air conditioned office to get out of this heat.

Between the astrological omens and the rising temperature, I think it’s a good day for me to just keep my head down – this humid, triple-digit weather is rare in Seattle, and often makes people cranky as it is…without the planets interfering!

Tomorrow will bring back some more eco-posting action: US-made and eco-conscious swimsuit recommendations.  In the mean time, here’s the second edition of Awakened Aesthetic’s Link Love:

  • The little black dress “goes green” at White Apricot, with options ranging from $50 to over $300.
  • Eco-conscious sustainablog makes conscious shopping easy with 5 Products to Green Your Everyday Life (and now I want organic cotton sheets).
  • Stilleto Revolt exposes President Bush’s Global Gag Rule, which denies all American aid workers the ability to teach foreign civilians about safe abortion procedures.  Meanwhile, people all over the world are still dying from unsafe abortions, even in countries where abortion is legal.
  • Jacob at Critiqulous (“reviews as serious as the internet itself“) waxes on cheap music at the West Seattle street fair…and picks up some awesome art by Urban Soule.
