What About Wednesday: Good Thoughts
Once a week I ask the same bleary-eyed question: “What about Wednesday?” It’s my day to post whatever the hell I feel like, with no regard to fashion, eco-consciousness or, occasionally, even coherent thoughts.
I just want to talk about stuff I think is awesome today. That okay with you? Good!
- I love going out alone somewhere, intending to read, then completely forgetting about my book because the people around me are too interesting to ignore.
- The best food can be found at every single one of the Seattle farmer’s markets. (Tangerines!)
- What I call a great weekend: spending Friday night at happy hour, in platforms and a skirt…then hanging out at home in baggy jeans on a Saturday, drinking a beer with friends in the fading light.
- Every time I go out for a morning coffee, I hope to have an epic story to tell before bedtime (or at least a cool picture, like this one from the Bite of Seattle).
- Even if it puts the vegetation in shock, I love it when the weather goes a little crazy.
- But sometimes, the best thing is getting away…even if only for a weekend.

I love this post, what a great thing to read on a Wednesday!
What’s made me feel good this week?
-Good conversations with my family back home.
-Getting all the sleep I need and waking up early.
-Coming home after a great workout and having my heart stop a little because the sunset behind the Olympic Mountains is more breathtaking than any picture I’ve seen.
.-= Michelle Leigh´s last blog ..“Sometimes, in this world, you see things you don’t wanna see” =-.
The only thing making me feel good this week is lots of coffee and the return of The Office. And possibly a tangerine now.
.-= Jay´s last blog ..Help Wanted =-.
Clothes ALWAYS make me feel good, but I also get buyers’ remorse, so I don’t think it counts. ;P
But the things that make me feel REALLY good are:
-The smell of a fire. They absorb me in warm feelings of holidays, take me back to childhood, and they just smell THAT good.
-Accomplishing anything- small or large.
-Being nice and making a stranger smile (because chances are they will pass that along to someone else!).
-When my SO achieves something that makes him happy enough to make note of it to others. I love feeling proud of others. It’s very affective.
-Snow. If I went into how and why… ridiculous. Hahaha.
-Trying something new. Even if I don’t like it it makes me feel great that I’m still open to SO many new things and experiences.
