That is actually one prospect I am very excited about since I moved here. While I am currently staying with my aunt and uncle, I am working on moving out to my own place sooner rather than later...and I spend quite a bit of time thinking about what my place would look like.

I usually go for a really comfortable vibe...the sort of place that looks nice but you know it's okay to come in and put your feet on the coffee table sort of place. Since I the majority of my possessions back in Michigan, I love that I get a fresh start...I don't want to be bogged down with a lot of the extra crud I had back there. I love plants, so I guess that would be my main decorating theme...hrm...lots to think about....haha

Good luck with thinking of ways to make your new place home and lemme know when that beer and pizza moving party happens!

When we moved into our house it was all about letting the 110 year old house speak to us and to be true to it and our life. We refurbished some areas and added some new elements (like a Viking stove because we like to cook and cable Internet) but everything looks like it belongs. We're really lucky that our house is old and has great character and quality but we were able to update it to live in today's world.

I usually am able to figure out what I want pretty quickly... that said, I still had to repaint my guest room a few times before I was happy and it took me a while to get my color combination for the living room. The rest was a cinch!
