What About Wednesday: We Interrupt…

Written on September 30, 2009. Written by Jennifer Nicole.

…your regularly scheduled programming to bring you a post about my brand new hair cut (along with some thoughts on what hair means to a woman of the 21st century).  It’s over at The Demoiselles, so go check it out!

Within the next week or so, I’ll be waxing Awakened on how to consciously shop for a hair stylist.  Stay tuned!

Do you have a regular stylist, or do you change it up?
How do you decide where to get your hair cut?

Also up today is my guest post about all natural beauty tips - for everyone – over at GreenGrechen.com.  Check out my post, and her site, here!

[[Once a week I ask the same bleary-eyed question: “What about Wednesday?” It’s my day to post whatever the hell I feel like, with no regard to fashion, eco-consciousness or, occasionally, even coherent thoughts.]]

I’m really bad about going to a stylist only like, every six months. I got my hair cut in July by a woman in Austin that I L O V E D – she knew how to work curly hair and didn’t talk to me like an idiot as far as taking care of it. But it was, I think, with the tip a $50 haircut and I just haven’t had the spare income since then to do it again, so I’ve been keeping it up myself. Things are evening out a little for us so hopefully I’ll be able to go back soon. In the past, I haven’t really stuck with a stylist, but I had never found someone that really did a bang-up job.

oooohh, i can’t wait for that post! i am in desperate need of a hairstylist. the last haircut i got was on a whim (it always is) and at a salon that i LOVE, but the stylist was rough and overly chatty and i had to go home and fix my bangs myself.

so, i have no idea how to choose a stylist. i’ve never had one whom cut my hair on a regular basis. i have always gone to different people.
