So you’d never think that the ideas “eco-friendly” and “couture” would come together to form a… candle, but indeed they do. DayNa Decker is somewhat of a designer of surroundings, so to speak.  The brand has developed some of the most unique, green home ideas that I’ve ever seen, and it’s sure to be luxe when they go on sale at Gilt tomorrow!

(Psst, this one is oh-my-god $600! Can you believe that? Couture, for sure.)

DayNa Decker has created a line of “Chandels”, an Americanized version of the French word for candle (chandelle), which include an “EcoWick”, DayNa Decker‘s trademarked creation.  The EcoWick is comprised of organic wood, through a natural manufacturing process, and they claim that it burns cleaner than an ordinary cotton wick. It also produces what they refer to as an “intriguing teardrop flame”, which emits a crackling noise. I’m not sure if that would be soothing, or irritating – but I am sure that I want to find out.

On top of the revolutionary EcoWick, DayNa Decker also boasts an eco-friendly wax, made from natural oils and resins while the opaque wax is a luxe palm and soy compound.

Each candle is constructed like a couture fragrance… Notes of florals and musks delicately balanced to create a perfect, diffused, natural ambiance in your home. Everything from tuberose to green tea is used in fragrance creation.

Plus, if you’re like me – hesitant to buy candle because, um, they just burn away – fear not; these candles can burn up to 80 hours (the 16oz. versions).

Tomorrow’s sale at Gilt will also include some natural/ethically produced moisturizers and body products from DayNa Decker, and it all starts at 9:00am PST!
