Today’s post at The Demoiselles features warm, cozy sweater dresses, and as per usual, there were a few eco-conscious pieces buried in the poly blends…
Elle (my best friend, business partner and budget blogger at Broke & Beautiful) found this Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent Long Navajo Sweater Dress…which is all kinds of amazing. It’s made of a bamboo and bean-blend, and more than anything, it has me wishing I was just a little taller. I’m worried that if I hemmed it, I’d ruin the flow, you know?
I love Edun – they’re always on point. Right now, they have a gorgeous 100% organic cotton Homonid Dress that fits the cutout trend while still being pretty timeless. It also fits my style – classic with a hint of funky detail – almost perfectly.
If you’re looking to pick up a new sweater dress before it gets really cold, Elle and I spent hours hunting and posted our favorites over at The Demoiselles, and Elle listed her own personal favorite (it’s leopard print!) on her site, Broke & Beautiful. (And she’s right: our styles really are totally different.) I’ve already pulled my sweater dress out of the bottom drawer…along with my sweater tights, my brand new caged platforms, my cardigans…

Hm… I’m not really feeling either of these dresses. The top one just looks like a nighty to me… although there just might be potential if one added a bunch of accessories. Maybe a black vest (or leather jacket?), some necklaces/chains, bracelets and maybe something in the hair? The model just looks like she’s about to jump in bed. Maybe some eye makeup would make it seem different?
And the bottom one just isn’t my style, although I could see someone like you pulling it off! It would look cuter if it hit just below the knee instead of above.
