Sustainable Sales: White + Warren (again!)
White + Warren is back at Gilt, and this time I know they’ll have eco-conscious options. (Last time, Gilt was sketchy on the matter.)

“From richly textured wraps to featherweight cardigans, White + Warren’s knitwear combines sumptuous yarns with everyday wearability and style. Started in 1997 by fashion industry veterans Susan White and Barbara Benenson Warren, the line has a loyal female following. In Hollywood, their sweaters and shawls have even draped many a shoulder of the red-carpet-bound. In addition to its luxurious cashmere offerings, which come in several undyed, eco-conscious looks, White + Warren also boasts modal, cotton and menswear pieces, as well as bridal and travel accessories.”
I was hoping to find an eco-friendly sale on White + Warren, because their shawls would make great holiday presents for those hard-to-buy-for people in my life:
- For my boyfriend’s mother: a wide, soft shawl in a natural hue.
- For my brother: a classic cotton shirt (to rival his tees with logos all over them).
- For my brother’s girlfriend: a simple cashmere sweater she can wear for years.
Luckily, none of them read this blog, so I think I’m safe, but in case they do: hey guys! Thanks for the support, and I hope you like your presents. (Ha.)
The sale starts today at 9AM PST, and since the last one was bombarded pretty quickly, I plan on taking an early coffee break and shopping fast. As we get closer to December, sites like Gilt are going to move product more and more rapidy.
