Sustainable Sales: Anzie Jewelry
It’s not all about organics and mineral makeup…sometimes it’s about other kinds of sustainability. Anzie Jewelry isn’t “green,” per se, but it is a conscious shopping choice, and it’s beautiful.
“Anzie Jewelry began in 1999 as a family-run workshop in Montreal, Quebec. Founder Anzie Stein began designing jewelry after learning her husband was diagnosed with cancer. His treatments required lots of traveling, which led Stein and her husband to browse boutiques in New York and Los Angeles. Inspired by the beautiful pieces she came across in her travels, Anzie designed a collection to raise funds for cancer awareness. This philanthropic idea encouraged her to create the Lifesaver Bracelet, crafted with a bold palette of gemstones, and its success launched the Anzie jewelry line. Anzie uses only the finest stones and crafts every piece by hand, a technique that has garnered a celebrity following that includes Nicole Richie and Tori Spelling.”
A backstory like that – a supportive wife, a philanthropist, a successful businesswoman – always leaves me proud to have girl parts.
If you’re interested in checking out these pieces – for yourself, a family member or a very lucky lover – you can find the sale here.
