What About Wednesday: A Question or Two
[[Once a week I ask the same bleary-eyed question: “What about Wednesday?” It’s my day to post whatever the hell I feel like, with no regard to fashion, eco-consciousness or, occasionally, even coherent thoughts.]]
Why do you shop sustainably?
Be honest! I know that there have been times in my life when I’ve only purchased something organic or all natural because it seemed like a good idea – not because I had any idea of the difference. There have also been times that I’ve picked up local stuff because it seemed more indie, more interesting, than going to the mall or the supermarket. So again, be honest - why do you really do it?
What do you need from me in order to be a more conscious shopper?
There are tons of things I can talk about on this site: sustainable sample sales, reviews of eco-friendly products, unknown brands that are making a difference, articles on what “all natural,” “greenwashing,” and other eco-terms mean…but I want to know what you want to see. Do you like it when I focus on pretty, eco-conscious clothing, or would you rather see an expose on companies that have crappy practices? Any suggestions you have – even if they’re nothing I’ve ever tried – are welcome.
I make the best difference when I’m catering to all of you. Don’t be shy – tell me what you love, what you hate, and what would make you a more progressive consumer.

I want to know things that aren’t sustainable, even if they claim to be! Also, more accessible items (less expensive, not necessarily online….)
