Yes, I’m Still Talking About Vicarious by Nature
I know, you’re sick of it. Every time I see Vicarious By Nature (or VbN) I can’t help but tell you about it. It’s like a reflex at this point: if you live in Seattle, you drink coffee every morning. If you live in Seattle and love sustainable clothing, you become obsessed with VbN.
That’s just the way it is.

I’ve shown you the basics, which are what normally goes on sale, and what Amazon carries, but what I really love…what I want to layer and add tights and scarves to and get really, really cozy with…is this jacket:
It’s still mostly a “basic,” with a standard trench coat cut and buttons, but that collar is what makes it amazing (and the fact that it’s made from organic cotton, of course). Here’s a flat view:
Does my obsession make a little more sense now? No? Well then how ’bout this:
Same coat, with a soft, silky-looking tunic dress…which could be the cut neck thermal, or the recycled poly dress, or even the bubble tunic (which is only second to the above jacket as my favorite VbN piece). The nice thing is that VbN is all about layering, so really, I have no idea what’s under the coat, but it would all look good…and there is so much at this sale that you could put together tons of different outfits – all you’d need is a scarf and a pair of tights.
Unless you’re a guy, in which case you just need shoes. VbN has t-shirts and pull-overs (more basics), a pair of flight pants (casual, with a relaxed cargo feel) and yet another awesome jacket:
